Well, the 2025 season is now well underway. Last weekend saw the London & Middlesex RA Open, as well as training for the GB Woomera squad. This weekend saw a few MR-ists shooting back to 1200yds alongside the LMRA’s Ultimate Catastrophy (sic) match: Target Rifles at 900, 1000 and the less-TR-familiar 1100 & 1200yds! Next weekend is the Spring Meeting, with more GB Woomera training on the Friday, too.Lucky that the weather is good, and the winds are fun! ... See MoreSee Less

An amazing event from the British Young Shooters' Association and delighted to see them continuing to introduce more new, young shooters to the Match Rifle discipline.Great to also see a number of the MR community helping deliver coaching and sharing their experience of our sport.BYSA BONFIRE BONANZA 2024This weekend saw 180 BYSA members, including alumni and current students from 17 Universities, descend on the NRAs National Shooting Centre at Bisley for our annual ‘Bonfire Bonanza’ event.Participants had the opportunity to shoot one of the NRA's Fullbore shooting disciplines, including: Target Rifle, Civilian Service Rifle, Historic Rifle, Gallery Rifle & Pistol and Match Rifle.A huge thank you to all those who came and supported the event, from all the Volunteers who kindly gave up their time to come and coach beginners into the sport; Jon Binder-Swash, Ashley Abrahams, James Mehta, Trevor Williams, Graham Trimmer, Neil Francis, Silke Lohmann, Nick Tremlett, Peter Radcliffe, Steve Smoothy, Rob Bogie, Rosanne Furniss & Harriet Nuttall, to all those BYSA members too numerous to mention who turned out to help coach and instruct others, or who volunteered to work in the back - pot washing and cooking, and to our volunteer committee for their tireless efforts putting the weekend together. As always it is very much appreciated. We would also like to say a further huge thank you to all those clubs and businesses who support the event either with their expertise, or by kindly allowing us to use their facilities; Bunhill Lodge, Dark Horse Rifle Club, CCRS, the British Commonwealth Rifle Club, Wellington College, the English VIII Club, National Rifle Association of the UK, G.E. Fulton’s, C&G Firearms, Firing Solutions, and in particular the ongoing support of the Royal Air Force Small Arms Association and North London Rifle Club, without whom this event wouldn’t be possible. From all of us here on the committee at BYSA, we hope you had a fantastic weekend and we look forward to seeing you all on the range again in 2025.Much shooting love!
